On Tuesday night, 50-year-old Dina Lohan, mother of actress Lindsay Lohan, was stopped by an officer after she was seen driving at high speed.
The 27-year-old actress’ mother was taken into custody for driving at “a speeds of 77 mph in a 55mph zone, said New York State Police. According to the TMZ report, Dina’s BAC level was recorded at 0.2 percent, almost double the legal limit for driving which is 0.08.
Officials told, “Lohan made an allegation that she was injured during the course of the arrest”. Officials added that Dina “recanted her claim” once medical personnel reached at the scene and determined she was fine. She was later released to a sober third party and is scheduled to appear in court later this month.
Lindsay has recently completed a 90-day court order to stay at the Cliffside Malibu treatment Centre and reportedly last month she was “begging” her mother to seek help for alleged alcohol issues. According to a source, “Lindsay has been worried sick about Dina lately. She knows Dina has been out drinking and she sees how much her own treatment helped her, so she has been begging her mother to go and get help”.
