Kate Bolduan’s Mother Faces Jail time for Drunk Driving

Mother of 29-year-old Kate Bolduan, CNN’s new morning show host, is facing some legal troubles.

According to the New York Post, 60-year-old Nadine Bolduan, mother of Kate Bolduan, faces up to a year in jail time for drunk driving. Nadine Bolduan’s BAC level was recorded at 0.19 percent. On 31st of May 2012, an accident occurred by Mrs. Bolduan, when she crashed her Chevrolet Avalanche into another vehicle. The other driver got serious injuries in the crash. He suffered broken bones, a head injury and three brain bleeds.

“The jail sentence comes 20 years after Nadine was charged with reckless homicide after her jet ski struck two little girls, killing a 9-year-old and injuring a 10-year-old, according to police reports. The charges were dismissed,” the New York Post reported.

Last month, CNN named Kate Bolduan its newest morning show host. She will co-host the new morning show with Chris Cuomo. The show is still unnamed and it will start this spring.

In the news business, Bolduan is hardly the first person who is affected by legal troubles. To name just two examples: in December 2012, veteran ABC News reporter Sam Donaldson was arrested in Delaware for DUI. In May 2011,The New York Times’ David Pogue and his ex-wife Jennifer were arrested after a domestic dispute.
