On Saturday 24th of February, 58-year-old George E. McKnight, resident of South Salem, N.Y., was arrested and charged with DUI. He was driving his vehicle under the influence of alcohol and speeding on New Norwalk Road around 8:27 p.m.
According to the report, a police officer equipped with radar was travelling south on New Norwalk Road. He saw McKnight’s car going on the road at high speed. The officer turned around and stopped McKnight after he had turned on to Urban Street. The officer said that he smelled a strong odor of alcohol and conducted a field sobriety test, which McKnight failed.
McKnight posted a $260 bond and is summoned to court on Friday 8th of March.
