Nearly nude woman charged with DWI

36-year-old Catherine Giaquinto of New York faces several charges after she allegedly crashed her vehicle while driving drunk. Reports confirm that she was driving almost naked, wearing just an unzipped jacket when the incident happened.

According to reports, Giaquinto crashed into a New Jersey stone wall and drove off. New Jersey police caught up with her. The incident took place Friday.

Upon questioning, New Jersey police asked her why she was driving in the nude, but Gianquito denied being naked. When police arrived, she was just wearing a leather jacket which was unzipped.

Police also found a dress on the back seat of her car and they asked her to put it on soon after she was stopped. However, Giaquinto did not put the suit on without making a scene. After struggling for 10 minutes, she managed to put it on inside out before she finally stepped out of her car.

According to Sgt. John-Paul Beebe, once Gianquito was dressed, she was asked to perform a series of field sobriety tests. However, she failed to keep her balance and also failed to listen to the officer’s instructions. She also refused to submit to a breath test.

She was taken into custody for several charges, including driving while intoxicated, refusing to submit to breath testing, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident, careless driving, failure to wear a seat belt and a documentation violation. Her vehicle was also impounded.

She was later released to a sober adult.
