New York man faces several charges in NJ
JERSEY CITY, N.J. – On Friday, a New York man stole a car from an Atlantic City dealership. After sometime, he was found by the police with $40,000 in cash and prescription pills. Numerous charges have been filed against him.
At about 7:30 p.m., Simon Dolmaian was pulled over by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey police in Jersey City near the New Jersey side of the Holland Tunnel entering New York City. According to the police, the 42-year-old man, Simon Dolmaian, was driving recklessly in a Corvette that had been reported stolen Friday morning.
Officials said that the keys were apparently in the car when Dolmaian got inside and drove off. Police charged him with driving under the influence, theft and receiving stolen property. Dolmaian was being held on $50,000 bail, and it was not confirmed Saturday if he had a lawyer.
