Motorcyclist in critical condition after being hit by drunk driver
SALT LAKE CITY – According to police reports, the motorcyclist who was struck by a drunk driver in Long Island on Friday night is in life-threatening condition.
52-year-old Karen Labarbera was driving her motorcycle on Pulaski Road in Greenlawn when 51-year-old Connie O’Hara struck her. The incident happened at about 7:15 p.m.
O’Hara was driving drunk.
Labarbera was transferred to Stony Brook University Hospital by police helicopter. She suffered head and leg injuries. She is in serious condition.
Authorities said that O’Hara was taken into custody and charged with DWI. It is not confirmed if O’Hara has a lawyer.
